Excellent, albiet expensive This amp has absolutely amazing tone. You hear that in nearly every review - tone, tone, tone, but that's to be expected in the reviews of tonal legends like a Fender Twin. This amp has absolutely amazing tone.

You hear that in nearly every review - tone, tone, tone, but that's to be expected in the reviews of tonal legends like a Fender Twin Reverb, of which I am also in love with. What makes this exceptional is that this is the first digital/modelling amp I've used that really had tone I could fall in love with, even though the rest are decent. It's not nearly as feature-filled as a Line 6 Vetta II or a PODxt, and doesn't offer nearly that level of control, but what those other products lack is pure, nearly undadultered amp models, with tone that reaches the soul. The effects are quite good, although I wouldn't exactly call them the selling point of this amp, but they are very usable and offer a high level of control for us FX freaks, much unlike those in an AVT or an MG amp. They're not models of other popular effect units like with Line 6's Vetta II, but they're great sounding.

The price is a little high, but when it comes to tone this thing is all aces. I'm in love with it.

Not impressed I purchased this amp, thinking that I was stepping up from my Line6 Flextone II. I took it back in less than three days, and got my amp back for sure. I purchased this amp, thinking that I was stepping up from my Line6 Flextone II. I took it back in less than three days, and got my amp back for sure. This thing has a billion presets and none of them sound very clean.

I played through them for 2 days straight and could not find any of the 'classis' Fender tones that are promised in the manual or advertising. I am a huge fan of Fender's analog amps, but this thing did not pass the test. Save the money and get a Vetta II for near the same price and much higher quality. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: Over the past 45 years, whew has it been that long, I have played through too many different amps and combinations. Once I got hold of the Cyber Twin I was finished looking.

I know all those purists out there will tell me that they have 15 amps blah blah blah. Great, do you carry all 15 around with you? It is by far the best amp I have owned!!! It does take some time to to get the feel for it and get it to do what you want, but once you've gotten it down, it will do the job. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: I do not own the Cyber Twin SE but I do own the regular Cyber Twin. I am a user of tube amps and never use solid state ones excluding this.

It has great tone and has the response and dynamics you would expect from the amp it is modeling. Although, I would not even call it a modeling amp.It is much better than that. Value wise, the amp is worth much more than it costs. It is of much higher quality of build and sound than amps like the vox valvetronix or the line 6 Vetta. It truly is a great amp even for those musicians who use analog effects and tube amps. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: I have had 2 Cyber Twins, the first edition and now the SE. I have been playing for 35 years and went thru all of the phases and trends, the stacks and such, and this amp keeps me amazed.

Now I only play out on weekends and even though it's heavy, it's not bad compared to what I used to haul around. Once you dial it in it is so versitle that you can literally set it up for the night and go thru the programs. Amazing sound at any level with all of my guitars.

I use a cry baby on the side and there is no end to the tones I can get. Great, great, great amp. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: I bought this amp when I was trying to figure out what kind of tone best suited me. I wanted to use the settings on the Cyber to set the knobs on my other amps. Sort of a cheater way. Anyhow, you cannot go wrong with this amp.

I actually use it as a vocal simulator and run a mike into it on either the ear candy or acoustisonic setting. Another cool thing you can do is run a mike and a guitar into an A/B box and adjust your guitars volume using it's own knobs. This way you can use your Cyber as a P.A.

If you can afford it, go for it. Great amp and you'll never get tp the end of all the possible settings. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: This could very well be the only amp you'll ever need. If you love the Fender amps then you'll find them all in this amp. It even has presets for other well known amps as well as presets of the classic sounds that we've come to know and love.

In addition to all the preset, it contains an array of effects. I found myself not having to plug in half a dozen stomp boxes to achieve the sounds that I want. This is not a modeling amp, it becomes the amp that you choose or design. I can?t believe that anyone can go wrong with the Cyber-Twin.

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: I have had the orginal version of this amp for six or so years. I keep thinking I want a tube amp rather than this hybrid style Cyber Twin, but every time I play a tube amp next to the Cyber Twin I like the Cyber Twin sound better. Of course individual taste will determine what you like best but this amp sounds great and it is amazing all of the different sounds that it can emulate. It really is like owing multiple Fender Amps.

The two twelve inch speakers produce awesome sound and have proven that they can take high volume. If you want to play late at night while the rest of the house sleeps it is easy with the headphone jack that is standard on the rear of the amp. This is a fun amp to play and the combinations of sounds are almost limitless. You will also have fun creating new sounds. You can use this amp in almost any venue and it holds up.

You can play about any style music with the Cyber Twin. It makes you a country star or a rock star with the turning of a dial or pressing the footswitch.

This amp makes playing fun and exciting. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: I just got one of these amps used from a friend. I like soem of the digital effects on the amp and some are not as well done. Its not a tube amp, but it is still relatively high quality. I think for the money, there are better amps, but this is a decent amp.

It is powerful enough for a small to medium gig. I also like the feature of the knobs turning automatically when you switch effects. This is a decent amp, but you could probably get more for the money. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: I am picking up my Cyber Twin SE this weekend so I don't officially own it yet but I have spent a lot of time playing it at my local store.I tried out a lot of amps looking for the right sound and well, I found it.

I am done with the phase in my musical taste where I want the nasty heavy metal tone. If that is what you are looking for, keep looking. This isn't the amp for you.

But if you want a classic Fender sound and a lot of great effects (some I will probably never use) this is a great choice. The price is a little high so if can get it at a used price.it's an even better deal. I haven't played it with a Fender strat yet but I bet it sounds great. If you go try one, try out the 'acoustic' simulator (or whatever it's called) I think it's called 'Ear Candy' in the presets. That is what solidified it for me.

Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: This amp does have tons of different digital effects, but none of them sound that great. If you play anything that is distorted it sounds lifeless and sterile. If you try and play a chord on any of the Distortion effects it just ends up sounding like mud. The effects settings also donۡt give you much control of the effect like a traditional pedal would. My suggestion to anyone who is looking to buy an amp is to find out what you want to sound like and buy accordingly; donۡt just buy an amp because it has tons of effects buy an amp because it sounds awesome. The reason I know so much about this amp is because my room-mate has one.

Save the money and get a Vetta II for near the same price and much higher quality. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: I have owned this amp for a couple years, and it has not disappointed. I can see where people may play it for an hour in a store and not like it, as it takes a while to figure out the adjustments beyond the regular knobs. At first I was overwhelmed and thought it would take months to figure out, which it did, and I'm glad I was patient.

Once I understood the difference between drive circuitry, pre & post distortion, tone stack, etc., I've gotten to where I can dial in a specific tone fairly quickly. With the 100 saveable presets, there is plenty of room to save your work. Adjusting the settings for the effects is a pain, and you have to save it as a whole amp setting, not as a individual effect which would have been nice. As others have mentioned, this is not the amp for high gain/distortion. Go get a valve amp and crank that up for such tones. I found a decent Mesa-Boogie type sound, which is harder than I typically play.

One down side is there are 250 presets, but the footswitch only can select 4. I get around that by making a list of the save location so I can quickly turn the dial to that setting. Sold separately is a cyber-pedal that you can switch 10 settings and has a pedal for wah, etc. For another $200+. All the Fender presets are great, the Bassman preset is awesome. As for volume, I've played from small clubs to small halls, and I've never had the volume past 5.5, larger outdoor gigs I've used a mic or better yet, the stereo XLR outputs.

The two Celestion 12's have held up nicely. The velco straps in the back made it easy to secure cables and switches during transport. Good thing for the casters as this amp is heavy using the handle. Casters are removable, which is a must at higher volumes. Bottom line, take the time and learn how to adjust the setting and have fun with it.

I don't see myself ever buying another amp. Comments about Fender Cyber Twin SE Amp: I purchased my first Cyber Twin SE and Cyber controller when they first came out several years ago and both are going strong. I needed a back up amp when out of state family members come to visit and found a brand new Cyber Twin SE at a GC in Chicago; which was pure luck as they were discontinued a year or so ago. In my opinion the Fender Cyber Twin SE is the best modeling amp ever made and wish the Fender still offered them.

The new Mustang series is the replacement to the cyber series I suppose, but they really need a twin pedal controller like the cyber controller to open up more opportunities.

To my knowledge such an editor never saw the light. Everything - and when I say everything it's really everything!- about the Cyber-Deluxe can be found on the Cyber-Deluxe Online Ressource yahoo group. So you'll find there all the infos to build and editor if you have strong programming skills! I began to write an editor but finally give up due to the lack of time and skills!!! I'm not using the Cyber-D anymore but I'm still waiting from Fender something like a 'Cyber Pod'. With an editor please! There is no question Fender missed the boat by not supporting the Cyber series with a USB-connected realtime editor.

They have one for G-DEC but incredibly, it's not realtime! How are you supposed to tweak your sound to taste? Here is a great product that should debut in Austin next week: Call it the Cyber Pro combo: the same excellent 65-watt SS amp, same 12' speaker, but an upgraded cyber engine-basically a downsized CTSE engine with 12AX7 but here's the kicker, unlike the Cyber Champ, ship it with a good pedal, something like a Digitech RP250.

Volume pedal, three button bank and preset switching, remote tuner built in like the G-DEC 30 has. But mainly a realtime USB-connected PC editor. With extensive online support and rock stars contributing their fave custom presets. And DIRECT RECORDING via USB.

Build it in China and street it for $499. Sell a bazillion.

And cut me in for a reasonable 3% of net. See, I'm a tube guy but I like and respect the Fender cyber engine. It even works like crazy in the lowly G-DEC series.

It needs to be out there in an affordable combo and in a mid-sized head config as well. But only with the above features. Fender needs to pay way more attention to Line 6s super-deep and incredibly well-supported Guitarport series and how all the pedal modelers are hooking up USB not just for realtime editing, but DIRECT RECORDING as well. Ok, better make that 4%.

I like that idea!! I would buy that (or wish that is what I bought). It seems like Fender did not fully embrace the market opportunity. Their Cyber engine is one of the best (if not the best) but for some reason they did not seize the computer-controlled aspects of their line and provide easy to use tools, a really good easy to use foot pedal (as opposed to the Fender floor pedal) as well as computer/internet interfacing that encourages patch creation and exchange.

When you look at the Cyber Deluxe forums on FDP and Yahoo you see a user group that wants to embrace all that it has to offer, but the shine has gone off it since it has not moved forward (and has actually been orphaned by Fender). So instead of a cult-like loyal band of owners, we are instead saddened that we have this amazing tool at our fingertips that Fender has left to die on the vine. Let's push our ideas directly to Fender and see if we can get their attention. Hey, this is the place! The CTSE is a terrific product, but far too pricey and far too heavy for casual club gigging at small bars and clubs. The size/weight/power config of the discontinued Cyber-Deluxe and Champ are ideal for clubbing.

I mean, in the real world, YOU (not some 300 lb roadie) have to carry your amp and guitar 3 blocks from where you parked and up 3 flights of stairs to get to the gig. Let's get real here, we can handle 35 lbs. Ironically the discontinued CT head was only 30 lbs. Add in a little 1-12 cab and that's entertainment! A lot of good Fender loyalists were disappointed with the killing of the CD and the CC combos. But this can all get turned around with a sterling effort from Fender featuring all of the above. These days, leaving out USB, realtime editing and direct recording from a sophisticated digital modeling product is not just unacceptable from a consumer standpoint.it's downright ampicide.

I wonder what the future will bring.will bring.will bring.(ripple wipe) 'What's that in the corner covered in cobwebs and moldy candy bar wrappers Mr. Guitar Center salesman?' 'Why that's the 2008 Fender Cyber Pro, Maruuk! They forgot the pedal and the USB. I hear tell, they ain't sold a one of em in 3 years!

I'll let you have it for.$17.50 out the door.' The other kids'd laugh at me. I'll take that Line 6 product THAT HAS ALL THAT onboard for $2299.99. If only Fender had brought something similar to Austin back in '07.back in '07.back in '07.' (ripple wipe back to.) Andy Rossi looks at Shane. A light goes on.

'What was that???' 'A light switch.'

'You know there's still time to mock up the Cyber Pro in a 3-D printer in styrofoam for Austin!!! They do that with cars you know, why not amps?' The rest, as we in 2010 know, was history. Andy was made president of FMI, and Shane kept modeling hi-gain presets for G-DECs. All was right with the world.

I'm kinda new here but I don't get it are you in piece w/ your CD or are you not? I like mine and it was a bargain. And I can't believe that you can talk about Line6 'cause when I say to someone that I have CD he goes like: dude it's not a real amp.

And that is because they've heard the Line6 products. But when they hear the CD they change their mind quickly. Yeah I wish there was like an exp. But you can allways by additional equipment and the best of it is that you can choose any vol. Pedal and any midi footswitch on the market. The Cyber Champ sounds great too, it just has a limited feature set but like I say, its real dealkiller was the lack of an included 4-button FS like the CD had.

But for blues guys or roots rock players who didn't need a huge bunch of tonal and efx options, the dirt-cheap CC would have been just peachy if it had a footswitch. Paying an addition $230 or so for the Big Pedal kind of defeated the whole point of an inexpensive cyber-engine amp. NEW COOL DIY DEPT: Guys who love the cyber engine but are low on cash (I wouldn't know anyone like that, would you?) are now taking the $179 G-DEC Jr. With its hip amp-like knobs and just running it into a Crate Power Block head ($49 or so on eBay) and some old 12' spkr cab and viola: A POOR MAN'S CT!

Note to Fender: Guys are already making their own affordable Cyber Pros out of found objects-why not BRING US ONE AT NAMM!? I love my Deluxe. I got to play with someone with a Mesa 5:50. I matched him sound for sound. Then I jumped to preset 19 and played 'Fender.'

He couldn't follow. I think for the hobbiest or home recording guy, the Deluxe is perfect. For the average musicial on the road, I think the Deluxe is too complicated. Think about it.

How long did each of us spend getting to know this peice of equipment? I think it is an outstanding product for me; with a day job, playing for fun and at church. For the working musician, I don't think it fits.

I think the original price is more than fair for what you get. It's just too complex and needs too much time to discover its potential for the working guy. For those of us with hours to play around looking for sounds, I think the G-Dec interface is significantly better.

Especially the part where selecting an amp type or effect resets all the perameters to be the most common settings for your selection. Unless you are fishing for a specific sound, you rearly need to go more than 2 layers into a menu. It was clearly designed for practice, lessons and home entertainment. Bringing back the Cyber Deluxe would certainly be nice, but I don't see the business case. A G-Dec head with both line and speaker outs and an optional full range cabinate (book shelf stereo speaker) would probably be a bigger winner in the marketplace. You and all of your helpful info was instrumental (pun intended) in buying a CD years ago.

I gig and record with it and I haven't outgrown it. The more experience I have with it the more useable sounds it reveals. Anyway, I'll report that I've ordered a Weber 1265 AlNiCO to replace the celestion. Looking for a bit creamier sound with some compression at higher volumes. Since most of my patches have low treble settings, I figure I'll be able to make up a little high-end if I miss it. Also going to put in a 'Beam-blocker'.

I'll report as soon as I give the 1265 a good workout. Pretty fancy new forum for Fender eh? Regards to all D.
