Hi here is the page on how to set up the ATC its F 350 then select your tool changer typeAlso in the tool path program you need to move shapes to different groups and designate a cutter position for that colour. I use v carve pro and my.nc files i send over to tool path still need to be set up this way.

In the pic the shapes that are red are cut with tool 2 blue tool 3 and so on. I don't set a tool off set because v carve does that for me unless you tell v carve to cut on the line. Hope I'm not confusing you. Feel free to contact me with any questions i hope i can help. PM would be the best way as I'm not on the form all the time Cheers Dan JDM Dimensions. Ok so here is a question, It seems like toolpath has a default Z position of 1' above the stock when calling a tool. I have a client that runs this software and when he programs stock that is under an 1' he has no problem. But in this job he was running stock that was 1.5' The G code program reads G00 G90 T8 ( Tool Description) G00 X10.000 Y10.000 G00 Z1.600 What happens at the machine at the start of the program the tool goes to 1' in Z.

As you can see there is no 1' z move programed. To me this means there is some default setup in toolpath to sell the tool where to go in Z once it's called. Does anyone know where this setting is? Thank you for the help!

Is the error message in Aspire or Toolpath? If it is in Toolpath, then try to import the file in DXF format into Toolpath. The DXF file should be saved in a R13 or R14 version.

When you get it in to Toolpath, you can decide what tools you want to use, and the speeds and feeds that are required. Toolpath is difficult to work with. I only use it for complex 3D shapes with higher feed rates.

I can run my machine by using 'DNC' directly to the control. Again, if you have a manual, it may be time to review that. If you don't have a manual, AXYZ should be able to provide you with one. I have copied my manual and sent a copy to another AXYZ user who was in the same situation.
